Dear Colleagues and Friends

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the 27th Congress of the AAPS to be held in Hong Kong from April 27 to April 30, 2024.

AAPS Congress has been contributing significantly to the pediatric surgeons’ community, particularly in Asia since its inception and continues to do so. And with the challenging situations in various parts of the globe, it is imperative for us to continue working together for the surgical children of Asia through education, capacity building, research, skill development etc. Furthermore, to succeed in the cause of Global Surgery, the surgeons of Asia must play a leading role. AAPS congress provides the platform to regroup the brilliant minds of Asia and other regions and facilitates knowledge exchange, problem identification and way forwards. There will be simultaneous 57th meeting of Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons [PAPS]. Professor Kenneth Wong has taken the huge task of organizing both AAPS and PAPS meetings. And I know he will do it brilliantly.   Besides the excellent scientific program, it is a great opportunity to build connections.
